James K. Blake III traveled all the way from Austin, TX to New Jersey for the final stages of editing. Working long, summer hours Blake spent 3 weeks getting the film ready for the last two
components: narration and scoring. Blake who graduated from Eugene Lang College in NYC in 2012 has been an video editor for the last 3 years. While editing in the last of the historical photos and video clips, we see how powerful and moving the story is. Blake has done a great job of working with our writer Gia M. Amella and directer Abe Kasbo to bring their vision onto the screen.
We are very excited to be working with Gaida (Rachael’s Getting Married) on the final score for the film. Vocalist Gaida is known for her original and highly personal style of great emotional intensity. Gaida’s original score has added a very personal touch to this film. Accenting the story’s arch and plot lines the score will really polish the interviews, making the film feel relatable.
